Rural broadband grants are available from:

  • The UK Government’s Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) has made available a rural area grant of £1,500 per residential household and £3,500 per business to go towards the installation cost of Fibre To The Premises (FTTP).
  • Hampshire County Council (HCC) are topping up the residential grant by another £1,500. Note this is subject to confirmation for YE 4/4/2022.

The grant is made available through a "voucher" available to all properties in a qualifying area, such as Alresford. Our aim is to use the available grant money to fund the deployment of Full Fibre internet in Alresford.

The grant is available to owner occupiers and to tenants where the tenant is responsible for obtaining and paying for their internet service. In the case where the internet service is provided by the Landlord, then the grant is available to the Landlord.
